Reservations are almost always
suggested. Even if you call on the same
day, it can sometimes make a difference
in availability. If you have any of the
following requirements, early
reservations are highly recommended:
-
Camping Cabins
-
Big
rig sites
-
Pull thru sites
-
All special requests
How soon you need to reserve depends on
when you'll be visiting us. Holiday
weekends, particularly
Memorial
Day and Labor
Day, book early. These times
are very busy with our "regular" local
friends, many of whom book their
favorite site up to a year in advance.
The quietest time of the season
is the period
preceding and following Memorial Day weekend. Once the kids get out of
school in mid- to late-June, we enter our
peak season. The last week in August has
become a slower time, with many families heading home to prepare their
kids for the new school year.
After Labor
Day when the kids go back to
school, we generally see many retirees with their big rigs. The larger
full hookup sites are the most popular at this time, particularly as
foliage season nears. Leaf-peepers come from all over to see the
wonderful fall show, particularly toward the
end of September through mid-October.
The Columbus Day
weekend (October 9th-12th in 2009) is a popular New England holiday for
tourists and locals alike.
Those who have
smaller camping equipment like tents and RV under 25' have the most
leeway at any time of year, particularly if you can "rough it" with just
electric and water.

Will I get
satellite reception?
Satellite
reception is not likely. Because we have
so many beautiful pines, oaks, and
maples, there is not a clear view of the
southern sky. Our full hookup campsites
have approximately 70 cable stations.
