If you prefer your independence and would
like to explore at your own pace - take the
T !
Whether
you travel by train or subway, Boston's public
transportation is convenient and reasonably priced.
Your
total time to get into town will be about an hour.
One
choice is to take the commuter train in
Ayer. The drive is short and the ride is
comfortable.
Many campers opt for the subway. You spend
more time in your car, but with subways
running every 10 minutes or so, you can't
beat the convenience.
Alewife Station has a parking garage for cars, and
Riverside has an outdoor lot for motor homes. |
Something in
between
Whether by train or subway, once you arrive in Boston, there are
Trolley
Tours located close to where you
disembark.
Trolley Tours
are for you if want the narration of a tour,
combined with the ability to adjust your
schedule based on your own interests.
